Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is set to go live on his X Network with Donald Trump on Monday evening, promising a “very entertaining” moment with the former president he openly supports.

The interview should try to relaunch the Republican candidate in the White House race, whose campaign has been troubled since Kamala Harris entered the ring on the Democratic side.
But the exercise could also be dangerous between two men accustomed to outspoken and controversial statements, a platform that has allegedly become a mouthpiece for the radical right and has loosened up with misinformation.
Previous similar interviews have also turned out to be a failure, such as Republican candidate Ron DeSantis' campaign entry, which was announced on X and hosted by Elon Musk, but which ran into technical problems.

On Monday, the interview with the former president “should have no pre-set scenario, no limits on the topics covered, and a lot of fun!” wrote Mr. Musk, who bought X in 2022.
The conversation between the two billionaires was to be broadcast at 8pm from Donald Trump's account, which was suspended after the attack on the Capitol by his supporters but restored after Elon Musk took over.
Since then, the account, once used daily by the former White House host, has posted just one post: his police ID photo. But he posted several messages there on Monday morning to signal his return.
“He respects me”
Last month, the head of Tesla and SpaceX officially backed the Republican candidate in the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt. Mr. Musk regularly attacks Democrats on X, where he has 193 million subscribers, particularly on immigration.
The South African native has never been an ardent defender of Donald Trump, with whom he has even clashed publicly. But the two men have been close in recent months.
They reportedly met in March and have been talking on the phone frequently since then Wall Street Journal. The technology mogul's advisory role is also under discussion if the former president regains the keys to the White House.
As reported in the press, Elon Musk recently denied wanting to donate tens of millions of dollars a month to the former president's campaign. He spoke of “very low” levels.
“I respect Elon Musk a lot and he respects me,” Donald Trump said at a press conference last week. “Like me, he thinks this country has big problems and is at big risk.”
