With delivery scheduled for early 2023, the aircraft is expected to have the “most spacious cabin in history” with a seating capacity of 19 people.
However, the delivery of the aircraft may be delayed due to the final certification of this new jet not being approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.
According to “Fortune” magazine, the jet is large enough to accommodate five separate living areas, including a six-seat dining room and a bedroom with bathroom. It also has its own WiFi system.
Circadian lighting that recreates sunrise and sunset on the plane also adapts passengers to changes in time zones.
The G700 has a range of 7,500 nautical miles without refueling, meaning it can go from New York to Tokyo non-stop.
The new device will replace the 2015 Gulfstream G650 currently owned by Tesla and the Space X founder.
Elon Musk can’t be the only one shopping for the jet, as the Gulfstream company recorded 81 orders in the last quarter of 2021, a record for the manufacturer.
