"Everybody wants me to run in 2024," said Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump has hinted again that he might run for the White House in 2024, promising that it would “please a lot of people”, in an interview with an Indian TV channel scheduled to air on Thursday.

“Everybody wants me to show up. I’m leading in the polls,” Trump said, according to excerpts from the interview on India’s NDTV to be broadcast in full later Thursday.

“In all polls, in Republican elections and in Democratic elections,” the Republican said.

“I’ll make a decision in the near future, I guess. And I think a lot of people will be very happy about that,” he continued.

The 76-year-old billionaire, former reality TV star, reiterated in this interview that he rejects the results of the 2020 election, which he lost to incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden, arguing that it was rigged.

There is overwhelming evidence, overwhelming evidence.

Last month, the FBI conducted a spectacular search of Mr Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on suspicion of illegally storing classified documents from his tenure in the White House (2017-2021).

At a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Donald Trump described the “brazen attack” as a “mockery of justice”.

He is also the target of investigations into his efforts to manipulate the results of the 2020 presidential election and his role in the January 6, 2021, violent attack on the Capitol by his supporters.

Mr. Trump is not currently facing trial in any of the cases.
