What is formed rum?

“It involves mixing the ingredients with white rum, then leaving it to macerate,” explains Florian Lecroux, creator of Arrange Toy. After about a month of waiting, the result is an “explosion of flavors” that can be enjoyed over ice, in a cocktail or with soda. The Quebec entrepreneur offers five original recipes including spices, herbs and dehydrated fruits. All you have to do is add rum (or another alcoholic drink if you prefer) into the beautifully transparent bottles.

How was Arrange Toy born?

Florian Lecroix fell in love with rum ten years ago on a vacation on Reunion Island. “I fell in love with all these flavors,” sums up the French native, a nursing teacher. Over the years, he has developed several recipes for the established rum. “Very satisfied” with them, he wanted to share his discoveries. Arrange Toy was born a year ago. Since spring, Florian Lecroix has participated in various markets in the Quebec region to taste his products. It is also at the Grand Marche de Quebec until December 24.

What dishes are served?

When we think of Reunion Island, we imagine exotic tastes. While Arrange Toy truly offers a mix of sunny scents like pineapple, vanilla and coconut, the selection also highlights local flavors and ingredients. Apple Crisp, Boreal Forest and Rougeres du Quebec (in which we find cranberries, strawberries and raspberries) are among the rums arranged by Florian Lecroix. The products are available online and at select sales points in the Quebec region.
