Philadelphia Flyers head coach Alain Vignalt, as well as his assistant Michelle Therin were sacked on Monday, leaving the team suffering the toughest series of days.

Several sources reported the whole thing, including TVA sports channel Renaud Laoi and a hockey expert on the site The Athletic. In addition, Assistant Mike Yo will take over as Chief Instructor on a temporary basis.
The Flyers have been in trouble once again this season, having been ruled out of last spring’s playoffs. On Sunday, they were humiliated 7-1 by Tampa Bay Lightning in front of their fans and thus suffered their eighth consecutive failure. Before hosting the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night, Philadelphia finished seventh in the Metropolitan Division with an 8-10-4 record.
Vignolt is in his third year in eastern Pennsylvania. In 2019-2020, he led his team to the second round of the playoffs. The Flyers also beat the Montreal Canadians in the first round at the Toronto Bubble. However, the sequel was particularly difficult due to the poor performance of goalkeeper Carter Hart. Last season, the club scored a total of 58 points in 56 outings, which was not enough to qualify for the playoffs.
A former hubs driver, Vignalt also coached Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers during his 1992-93 career as an assistant to Ottawa senators in his National League career.
For his part, Thererian joined Flyers in May 2019.
