Fromagerie Victoria, a national treasure of Victoriaville, will have a new factory, much larger than its current premises, to adequately respond to the growing demands it receives.

The new building will be built in the Daniel-Gaudreau Industrial Ecopark in Victoriaville.

In an interview at monvicto.comVicky Martino, General Manager of Cuisine Basca, a sister company of Fromagerie Victoria, which until a few years ago exclusively supplied the company, realized that their current premises were too small to meet demand and 'he needed to expand. The Ecoparc site became a natural and logical choice for Cuisine Baska. Vicky Martino explains it all.

With this new major project, Cuisine Basca hopes to expand its commercial kitchen services further into the community without compromising the quality of its products.

Who is Culinary Baska?

Dishes Baska is not particularly known to the common people. It is a second-tier company specializing in the manufacture of meals and various food products for all types of customers.

Vicky Martino describes the range of services available at Cuisine Basca.

From the creation of the company in 2016 until 2022, Baska, an unnamed chef, had only one client; Victoria Cheese Factory. It supplied Fromagerie Victoria franchisees with ready-to-eat products as well as their home-made products such as Italian sauce or caramel.

With the development of the company, the company realized its potential and wanted to create its own identity. Cuisine Baska was born in 2022.

Recipes Basca “make for other people who sell at retail or sell their products in other outlets” Vicky Martino sums it up nicely.

The current premises used by Cuisine Basca will be used for their dairy factory so that a new brand of Basca fromage can be developed. They will use the premises until the current lease expires.

Long term plans?

The new factory is planned and designed to expand the services offered on a large scale.

Vicky Martineau emphasized, “If we eventually want to join a Canadian agency, the kitchen plan is designed to give us the opportunity to go to other provinces. »

Nothing is decided, nothing is concrete, but cuisine Baska clearly has plans in mind.

The new factory should be officially opened in the spring of 2025.
