Hades, Animal Crossing & Ghost of Sushima All Weighing for the Year of the Year at Game Awards 2020

Your favorite games from last year competed against each other for Game of the Year Game Awards 2020.

The annual awards show, once again hosted by Geoff Keegley 10 December. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it will instead be out of the live audience in various studios in Los Angeles, London and Tokyo and will be streamed on 45 video platforms, including Twitch and YouTube.

All of the nominees this year really, Really Good games (a subjective opinion, of course). All three games, along with Square Enix, are running for the coveted Game of the Year award Final Fantasy VII remake, id software Doom Eternal, And Nintendo’s blockade darling, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There are GOTY winners for previous iterations of the Game Awards Sekiro: Shadows die twice (2019), and God of War (2018).

Although not nominated for Game of the Year, there are still many nominees from the latest PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X era, including insomnia games. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, And Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
