Half of the Ontarians decided to celebrate Christmas with their family

Despite the omicron wave of COVID-19, nearly half of the Antarians are planning to celebrate Christmas with at least their family members, a survey released Monday shows.

According to an inquiry conducted by Forum Research on behalf of Toronto Star, 51% of Ontarians expect to celebrate only with their family without seeing anyone else.

In contrast, 41% of respondents expected to celebrate with their family members and 7% suggested that no restrictions be imposed on Christmas celebrations.

These data are in stark contrast to the trend in December 2020, as families abandoned their holiday plans and resigned to spend Christmas alone, in the middle of the second Kovid-19.

William Shatten, Vice President of the Forum for Research and Analysis, attributed the interview Star, This example has become “Pandemic Fatigue” and people are more courageous to take the risk because of the protection provided by the vaccine against COVID-19.

On the other hand, although they tend to celebrate with their family, Ontarians are considered to be the smartest in the country. In fact, only 16% of respondents indicated they would like to leave the Canadian border in the next three months, up from 40% for travel in six to twelve months.
