“I do not understand comparing ourselves” – Yanni Gourde

"I do not understand comparing ourselves" - Yanni Gourde

Yanni Gourde turned the page on his great journey with lightning and he is now ready to give his all for Kraken.

In an interview with Jean-Charles Lazoi on Wednesday, Kubeser agreed to tell us how he felt about his departure from Tampa Bay.

“Julian Brisbois contacted me. Honestly, the call was too short. There’s nothing big to say when you find out you’ve not being protected.

If the former Victoriaville Tigress does not think he is a Seattle choice, he feels he is very happy to join this new team.

“I’m very surprised to be drafted. I thought it’s Alex Killern or Ondrej Pallet because they are great players. I’m so lucky to be selected. It’s a really great opportunity in a great organization. I have only good words and I can not wait until it starts.”

Gourde also ignores the comparisons between Kraken and the Golden Knights of Vegas.

“I do not mean to compare ourselves with the Golden Knights. It’s too early. GMs did things differently during the year in Vegas. They are more traditional. The two expansions are completely different. It’s not worth putting pressure on us. ”

The man, who underwent shoulder surgery in the summer, said his injury was healing well. Although he missed the start of the season, he wants to be in the Kraken entourage.

“This is going well. My doctor is very satisfied with the progress. It is a shame not to be able to help the team. However, I will do my best to get involved in the team as much as possible.”
