A large fire broke out at the Saint-Raymond beach campsite in Portneuf on Sunday evening, luckily causing no injuries.
At 10:30 p.m. the Saint-Raymond City Fire Department received a call regarding buildings at the campsite.
In total, three trailers, a side-by-side ATV and a shed were destroyed by the massive fire, which was finally brought under control after about five hours.
“A few other trailers were also slightly damaged, but no one was injured,” emphasized Genevieve Faucher, director of communications for the municipality.
The Saint-Basile fire department was also involved, but the Sûreté du Québec was called to assist.
Firefighters are currently investigating the site to determine the source of the fire. Although we are not in favor of either hypothesis at present, we do state that no criminal influence appears in this case.
