“We have stopped using the Green Passport (Hebrew” Taw Yorok “, the name given to the Health Pass in Israel, the editor’s note).
The Israeli government was one of the first countries to introduce the Health Pass a year ago, shortly after launching a major vaccination campaign to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
In early February, the government announced it was abolishing the requirement to have a sitting pass in cafes, restaurants, bars, sports halls or hotels, but extended it to other venues, such as concert halls or movie theaters.

Earlier this week, tens of thousands of Israelis arrived in Jerusalem in cars or trucks from several cities across the country, mimicking convoys that appeared in Canada and circled around many countries, against pandemic-related health restrictions.
The convoy, which is headed to parliament in Jerusalem, caused major traffic jams on Monday in the wake of the Horn concert, AFP journalists who witnessed thousands of cars freeze the city found.
Israel was one of the first countries to launch a major vaccine campaign in December 2020, thanks to an agreement with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. Today, nearly half of the population has received three doses of the vaccine, which, according to health officials, has helped limit the number of people hospitalized at the height of the wave of the Omicron variant.
Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett has reiterated in recent weeks that he wants to fight the virus, especially by promoting vaccination, but not “blocking” the country’s economy, which has shrunk in the first months of the epidemic.
