Motorists will soon be able to earn Canadian Tire Dollars by filling up at Petro-Canada, the Canadian retailer announced Wednesday, announcing a partnership with the oil company.
Under the agreement, approximately 200 Canadian Tire gas stations will be converted to Petro-Canada gas stations over the next few years.
The partnership is a pair of Canadian Tire and Petro-Point’s Triangle Rewards loyalty programs.
“Through this new partnership, Canadian Tire Corporation will expand its Triangle Rewards program from more than 200 gas bars to a network of more than 1,800, which […] More opportunities for members to earn CT Money,” said Greg Hicks, president and CEO of the retailer.
Both companies will still have “full ownership and absolute control [leur] Related Loyalty Program,” clarified.
The agreement also provides that Canadian tire service stations will no longer be supplied with fuel by Suncor, the oil company that owns the Petro-Canada chain.
