The former Montreal Canadians defenseman was hired in 2019 after being hired as an assistant instructor with the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League. His time at Nova Scotia was not successful, however, with the Moose Heads having just 35 wins in 106 games.

This season, Halifax has a 15-19-9 record of 39 points. The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Atlantic bubble was delayed so much that the team could not make it to the playoffs justifying the decision.

“The last two seasons after we played in the 2019 Memorial Cup are being restructured. This year we are on the list of the youngest in the league. Surely, our youngsters have been able to develop significantly in this revised calendar and Dignault deserves credit for its excellence. I thank him for his leadership and thanks to him. I want the best for him, ”said Bobby Smith, the former owner of Mooseheads Majority, a former Hubs forward.

“I would like to acknowledge the work of Jean-Jacques Dignault and his commitment to the players and the organization,” said Cam Russell, general manager. I am sure he will succeed as an instructor in our league or in the pro ranks. ”

Dagnolt worked as an assistant with the Canadians from 2012 to 2018.
