Martin Saint-Louis has signed a three-year contract extension and will officially take over as head coach of Montreal Canadians on a permanent basis on Wednesday.

The agreement binding the two parties is valid until the end of the 2024-2025 campaign. “It is a great honor for me to sign this agreement to lead the Canadians,” he told a news conference in St. Louis.

“We are delighted that Martin has officially become the head coach for the Montreal Canadians,” General Manager Kent Hughes, who did not attend the meeting, said in a statement.
