A big earthquake

A massive earthquake struck off the west coast of Mexico on Monday at 2:05 PM EST. The Colima-Michocan region experienced strong tremors with an epicenter at a depth of 15.1 km. Its magnitude was estimated at 7.6 on the Richter scale. This sector is located between the resorts of Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco.

According to experts, the risk of a tsunami is not excluded for areas within 300 kilometers from the epicenter. Some sources say that the tremors were felt in the capital, Mexico City.
