In a press release published on Wednesday, ADM explained that the measures, which will be phased in by the summer of 2024, aim to remove 700 vehicles per hour during peak periods to the airport’s main landing stage.

Alternate landing steps

Two landing stages are available on the east and west sides of the terminal and shuttle service is provided to passengers every five minutes. “These shuttles will take a route to avoid congestion and the journey time will be around 5 minutes,” assured ADM.

Parking lots

All parking lots will have free parking for a limited period, ADM said.

Additionally, a revision of the parking lot fee schedule “is underway for next summer season.” A multi-level parking lot (P4) will open early in the year, adding 2,800 spaces to the current offering.

Mass transit

Although the Regional Metropolitan Transport Authority (ARTM) and Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) have already increased the frequency of line 747, ADM plans to establish new direct connections with the site “soon” to reduce the number. Vehicles using access roads.

Also keep in mind that there is work going on at the REM Station construction site. ADM hopes to complete its work by spring 2026, then allow CDPQ Infra to “do what is necessary to connect the station to the rest of the network”. ADM promises that the first users will be able to use this sustainable mode of transport in 2027.
