Montreal: 70% of employees are anxious to work with unvaccinated people

Seventy percent of those who work in Montreal are afraid to work with non-vaccinated coworkers when they gradually return to the interview.

The Leger Survey, conducted on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (CCMM), revealed that the first part of this took place in June.

CCMM took advantage of the unveiling of the most up-to-date data on Thursday to reaffirm that the vaccine supports passport use within companies. Since it has been in effect in Quebec since Wednesday, the vaccine passport has been reserved only for non-essential activities.

“For many months, the Chamber has been a serious promoter in expanding vaccination passports in Quebec, including verification of employee vaccination status. This position reflects the fact that 70% of workers in the survey said they were in favor of its application in the workplace,” CCMM said in a statement.

The epidemic is not over, with half of the respondents wanting only 50% of employees to be in the office at once and 43% want to apply strict hygiene and cleaning protocol.

Five percent more workers, 51% of the total, plan to drive to work to avoid being massaged by other people on public transportation.

Gradually return face to face

Among other highlights, one in almost two workers (47%) are returning to work in the metropolis. This is a clear increase compared to June (28%).

Of those, 19% are full-time and 28% are in the hybrid formula. In addition, 51% of respondents were in the office for two to three days and the rest were on duty at home. 72% want the right to comfortable hours.

From August 2 to 12, approximately 1,079 respondents took part in the survey.
