Prevalence of COVID-19 among staff at the Hotel-Dieu de Lewis

Hotel-Diu de Lewis was shocked when COVID-19 spread among radiology department employees who attended a Christmas dinner a few days ago.

“We confirm that the radiology team at CISSS de Chowdhury-Appalach యొక్కs ‘Hotel-Dieu de Lewis’ has been disseminated,” a spokeswoman for Mireil Goudreau said.

As of Thursday, December 16, 27 out of 80 employees tested positive. All infected employees were fired and left alone at home.

“The whole Christmas meeting follows, but was conducted in accordance with the instructions in force at that time,” Mr.^Me Goudrow.

“Thanks to the reorganization of work, we are able to manage all services to customers. Only a few cases that are not medically urgent have been postponed, ”she continued.

She said customers can safely access the relevant departmental services as they follow the instructions of the Infection Prevention and Control Team.

“We are already working to open service corridors with establishments in the national capital to transfer customers, but if we need it, it’s not for now,” she concluded.

The outbreak comes as cases are currently spreading in the Chowder-Appalachians. According to the daily report, 284 new cases were reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to 26,553 as against 219 cases the day before. Eight people were hospitalized, including two in intensive care. Number of active cases 1400. No new deaths were reported.
