SAAQ: Possession of the vehicle of a driver whose license is not renewed is suspended

Transport and Sustainable Mobility Minister Genevieve Guilbault announced that the seizure of the vehicle of a driver who does not renew his license will be suspended for 90 days.

Thus, this action is aimed at preventing the respective license holders from sanctioning in case of disruption. It will be valid for 90 days i.e. till June 7, 2023.

On Wednesday, she announced three additional measures, including extending the validity period of driving licenses expiring between March 9 and June 1, extending the temporary validity period of registration certificates and foreign driving validity. Licenses are valid until August 29, 2023.
