Twitter will relaunch a new payment authentication system on Monday

After several false starts, Twitter plans to launch a new, more expensive subscription offering for users of Apple devices on Monday, including a system to authenticate accounts on the platform.

“We’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday — subscribe for $8 a month on the web or $11 a month on iOS (Apple’s operating system used on iPhones, Ed) to get access to subscriber-only features including Blue Tick,” the team said in a tweet Saturday.

After verification a blue tick is granted, specifying the group.

It turns gold for businesses and turns gray for government agencies a week later.

Subscribers have access to the function to edit tweets after they are published or to download better quality videos.

“Thank you for your patience as we try to improve Blue,” the band wrote on their official account.

After taking over Twitter in late October, Elon Musk announced his intention to launch a payment formula to diversify the platform’s revenues, whose financial health depends largely on its advertising revenue.

Ten days after the takeover of the platform, in early November, the first version was launched by Multi-Entrepreneur, but caused confusion by opening several accounts pretending to be celebrities or companies.
