Vaccine: Quebec administers the 4th dose

Quebec is one of the few countries in the world to offer a fourth dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.

National Director of Public Health, d.^R Health Minister Christian Dubey said Thursday that Luc Boileau is likely to announce next week that a booster dose will be given to “some people who cause harm”.

The day before, he said, the recommendation applies to people aged 80 and over.

The new vaccine campaign will take place in the summer.

The minister explained that vaccination coverage for the elderly ranges from six to four months. This age group was able to start appointments in November last year.

According to our information, Quebec has not yet received any indication to open a fourth dose vaccine for the entire population.

Currently, some countries in the world offer a fourth dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. Most of Israel, Germany and Brazil.

In Israel, the recommendation applies to people 60 years of age and older.
