Valerie Plante suffering from Kovid-19

Mayor of Montreal, Valerie PlanteHe, who is in administrative segregation, confirmed on Saturday afternoon that he had tested positive for COVID-19 the day before.

After learning that one of her entourage had the virus, the mayor went to test for COVID-19 on Friday. “I got my result today and it was unfortunately positive,” the mayor added in a written statement sent to the media late Saturday afternoon.

“Since I was double-vaccinated, I’m fortunate to have some symptoms related to the virus,” he said.
