The first 18 holes in the 2020 US Open will allow them to play as lightly as winged foot for the rest of the week. Friday will be windier, cooler temperatures and steeper greens than we saw on Round 2 opening day. Hopefully you enjoyed scoring more than the first 18 holes, because you can not see much the rest of the way.
The best golfers in the world you are going to see on Friday, to keep their heads level. Matthew Wolf and Thomas Peters go early after a tremendous first round, in which they both shot under 4. Skipper Justin Thomas (-5) goes late, Patrick Reid (-4) and Rory McIlroy (-3). We see them fighting each other and – more clearly – the golf course that is going to be a huge fight over the next three days. We will also see if Tiger Woods (+3), Dustin Johnson (+3) and Jordan Spiet (+3) can fight to cut Friday in the top six of the six majors this season.
