Demi Lovato suffered three strokes and a heart attack in 2018 when doctors tried to save her after taking an overdose.
The singer honestly revealed this in the trailer for his YouTube documentary series, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil.
She tells us how close she is to death after a dangerous reunion in her battle with addiction.
According to her, keeping her problems to herself put her life in danger. “If you ever suppress a part of yourself, it overflows. I crossed a line that I never crossed. I cracked, ”she explains.
Recalling the experience near her death, she adds that she suffered with “three strokes, heart attack”. “Doctors said I had between five and ten minutes to live,” she said.
The trailer is paired with an unreleased song, indicating that the lyrics have the same title as the series. “I’m born again, I’m starting. I’ve lived so many lives like my cat. I’m in the last one. I’m ready to do what I love, to make music again. I don’t live my life for others, or for highlights, for Twitter,” she stressed.
In the four-part series that identifies the events that led to his overdose, family, close friends, as well as testimonials from Christina Aguilera and Elton John also appear, who agreed that “young and famous are really hard”. We can see in the trailer that she reveals some details about her brief relationship with actor Max Ehrich, whom she left last September.
