Border measures will be relaxed this summer for travelers who have been double-vaccinated.

The timeline may be announced in the coming days. Ottawa hopes that the number of people receiving both doses will increase rapidly and the likelihood of other major outbreaks will decrease.
Currently, people returning to the country by plane are required to be detained at the hotel by the time they receive a negative PCR test.
They must be self-isolated for 14 days at their home.
Exceptions for athletes?
Following the federal government’s decision to allow NHL teams to cross the border without restriction, other teams and athletes are seeking exemptions as part of the playoffs.
“We are working with MLS and two other Canadian clubs to find a solution that will allow the federal government’s exemption for NHL team travel to promote encouraging development (…) to return to Montreal as soon as possible,” CF Montreal reported Monday.
Many Olympic athletes are also trying to relax the rules, with many going abroad for their training.
