After launching its new application, the popular Kijiji classifieds platform is selling its old version’s source code… on the marketplace!
Nearly 20 years after launching its first app, Kijiji is turning its back on the past to focus on the future with its new free app. “Our team has fundamentally designed this new app using the latest technologies to make it more intuitive, personalized and secure.
So now is the perfect time to prove that we’re letting go of the old and optimistic about the future, said Kijiji Chief Marketing Officer Adam Jardine.
“The source code of an older version of Kijiji 2005 is now for sale on the ‘other classifieds site’ for $1,” the company wrote in a statement on the Facebook-affiliated sales platform.
Thus, for the modest sum of $1, Canadians can purchase this “piece of history for the digital age” printed on more than 500 pages, preserved with “3 by 11 with three purple rings” lettering. -size clear cover, bearing the original Kijiji logo.”
Note that a binder of this size costs about $15 at various stationery stores. It will surprise you if the galavana is not in the binder.
