Authorities say a man was run over by a FedEx truck during the protests in St. Louis.
Investigators said George Floyd switched on the highway and surrounding roads, where the driver of the twin-tractor-trailer was converted to highway and surrounding roads, where demonstrators marched to the streets and closed roads.
When he stopped, many approached one of the truck’s trailers and began to unload the package, NBC.com reports.
Police later said two men fired guns at the driver, who was “standing on the passenger side board.”
Frightened, the driver exploded his horn and left until police stopped him – he pulled away from underneath two trailers without realizing that a person had been caught, Sgt. Keith Barrett said in a statement.
On Twitter, an eyewitness to the incident said several protesters tried to pull the victim out of the truck. Tweets Seems to be caught between the truck’s trailers.
“Our hearts go out to everyone who regrets this week’s events. We are deeply saddened by the tragic situation involving a demonstrator in St. Louis and one of our vehicles,” Fed-X said in a statement.
