Cooking, dancing and bingo for fun

Regis Labum on Tuesday unveiled a range of new “heartfelt” activities, including online recipes, dance lessons, moving video clips and the return of bingo.

The mayor of Quebec, who has always been inspired by his mission to combat the winter ash and alleviate the population during the epidemic, has, in particular, promised to feed the city’s YouTube channel in the coming weeks.

In addition to the activities already provided in the open space in the four corners of the city, citizens will also be able to enjoy the comforts of their own homes.

Many people, such as Robert LePage, Peter Simons, Michelle Bergeron or Eve-Mary Lorte, agreed to shoot capsules with Chef Stefan Modat from Chateau Frontenac. Each guest presents their favorite comfort food to the chef and the chef then presents their recipe on screen.

“Stefan played the game and let me go [aux pommes] In his own way, ”Mayor LaBeoum, whose capsule was put online Tuesday.

Several athletes from the area, cross country skier Alex Harvey, agreed to record capsules to encourage citizens to move.

Those who want to practice their dance steps will also be able to watch courses in line dance, cha-cha-cha, hip-hop, new country and many more in the coming weeks.

TV Bingo is back

With the success of Mayor Bingo, which attracted 11,000 players in December, operations will resume. In addition to Bonhome, Municipal Council President Vincent Dufresne will host a special carnival bingo on January 31 in Telemag. Valentine’s Day bingo follows on the spring break (date to be verified) on February 14th and another in March.

Last October, the city released a $ 3.1 million budget for “winter knitting.” It was not possible to know on Tuesday whether the envelope had already run out. The mayor, who is already planning to extend the concept to early spring and early summer, confirms that everything is already planned in the 2021 budget.

The mayor was also pleased with the public response to his call for better citizenship, which began last week with regard to supervisors of parks and rinks. 911 received only two complaints last week of misconduct.
