I walk with my dogs and on the treadmill.
Talent for manual work?
I had to change my four doors from home. I first made a small mistake by trimming the door tops. Result: Take four new doors and carpentry.
Remember childhood?
I often think of the beautiful moments I spent with my mom and dad and the family reunions in Thurso.
What’s great?
My son Mark’s health issues affected me a lot. Today, I am proud to see him emphasizing himself in life.
An emotional moment recently for you?
Last summer, when I ran into Derek Acoin, I was at CHUM for treatment. Derek’s message of hope struck me deeply.

Working with my son Martin is very touching to me.
A long trip as your boat captain?
For a few years, I went boating in the summer all over Quebec. My long trip took me from Montreal to Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
A long trip by helicopter?
I went to Las Vegas. It took me three days to cross the path.
Do you have a crush on the landscape?
On my helicopter trip to Las Vegas, I flew through the vastness of the Grand Canyon and the desert.
Musical talent?
I don’t have the talent to sing and as a musician I can’t even play musical spoons.
Great pride?
Our mom and dad were definitely proud of me.
Your first job?
Younger, in the summer, I worked on the family farm. I loved cleaning animal pens, milking cows by hand and driving a tractor.
The first meal you made for your fiance?
I lived in an apartment in Long Yuil. I prepared macaroni and cheese for Liz, but forgot to put the noodles in the water. Result: Rock-hard pasta.
Your first car?
Before signing my contract with Rimportes de Quebec Jr., I would ride my bike because I did not have a car until the day Rimparts offered me the Buick Le Saber.
Have you always loved dogs?
Early in my career with the Canadians, I rented a townhouse in El-des-Sours. They advised me that they were my dog or I had to leave. I set off with my dog.
What was your first team name?
During my first year, I worked in the mosquito, pee and bantam categories of Thurso.
Favorite city in the United States?
With Los Angeles, Canadians match commentator Claude Quenneville, Quebec actor Donald Pilan and the amazing restaurants I found.
Favorite food?
I like to enjoy good Italian food and Cubecois cuisine for the holidays.
Did you like your experience as a restaurant?
Yes, but I find it unfortunate not to be there every evening to greet customers.
A precious moment of relaxation?
With a big laugh: At the manic barber at 6am, I was having fun discussing everything and having nothing to do with him.
Your father’s influence?
When I saw him sitting on the edge of the board near the net at the forum, his gaze towards me during the break was the biggest inspiration for me.
Do you think Maurice Richard and Jean Belive came next?
I have not succeeded after Maurice Richard or Jean Belive. I am very fortunate to be a part of these three.
What does Quebec City mean to you?
Quebec is my second home. My participation in the Peewee Tournament, winning the Memorial Cup, my meeting with Liz, who later became my wife, and the place where I ended my career.
