US Open: Leila Annie Fernandez and Felix Agar-Aliasim face strong opponents in 3rd round

Leila Annie Fernandez will try to continue her good run at Flushing Meadows on Friday. And she can get the chance to do it on the big stage.

Quebezer will face third seed Naomi Osaka in a third-round match at Arthur Ashe Stadium at 7 p.m.

Fernandez played there last year but there were no spectators.

“Last year, unfortunately, the stadium was empty. But it was a good experience. I was able to play on a big court like Arthur Ashe. This year, I can not wait to play on this court, the spectators are cheering me on and cheering Osaka,” Fernandez said during the clash.

The two players recorded the same number of wins this year and each won the title on the circuit. Fernandez, on the other hand, played a lot more games.

This will be a great challenge for Quebec, as well as facing the player she adores the most.

Felix Agar-aliasim is also preparing for a significant challenge in the third round. Quebesser 18th seed Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain will also face off against Stade Louis Armstrong at 7 p.m.

This will be the third duel between Felix and the 33-year-old veteran. The two players shared the honors of the first two clashes.

“I have to be very focused, very consistent. I can not give him much chance to get into the game. I have to be very waterproof as they say. Give him nothing, serve well and get this game. It’s a great challenge, but I’m ready to face it.”
