COVID-19: Minister Dubey says we must “learn to live with the virus”

The health minister warned in an open letter that the epidemic could continue for many more years and that cubes would have to learn to live with the virus.

“As the virus spreads from Africa to Asia, the Indian subcontinent and the Americas across many continents, we have the opportunity to transform the variant into variants, which are stable over months and years to come,” he explains.

“Instead of looking for an end date for all this, we must learn to live with the virus. If we are to return to normal life, we must accept a certain number of cases and a certain number of hospitalizations,” the minister said.

Worry about September

Mr. Dubey explains, “I believe he has a responsibility to explain to you the situation in which we find ourselves.”

With the start of the academic year, INESSS forecasts for the month of September are of particular concern to him.

In the long run, Christian Dubey emphasizes that the health network has demonstrated the ability to better meet the needs of its customers.

“Providing a quality customer experience will be the basis for our changes to reduce the waiting list for surgery, to ease our emergency rooms, to focus on home care and to have a front-line service available. […] To achieve these goals, we need sustainable more staff and teams. We are committed to giving them resources and a quality environment, ”he wrote.

The PQ health critic agrees with Minister Dubey’s consideration, but called on the Legal government to end the epidemic by decrees.

“We agree on one thing: we must learn to live with the virus, which, as we call it, implies a return to normal governance, greater transparency in information management and the re – establishment of the role of our organizations,” he confirmed.

The Liberal Party and Quebec Solidar did not respond to our requests for comment.
