This contribution of 1,250 MW of clean energy will gradually replace fossil fuels that make up more than 85% of the region’s power supply by 2025.

The Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE) project involves the construction of a 545 km transmission line between the Canada-US border and New York City. Nearly 1,400 jobs will be created during construction, mostly in the United States.
