Caminati vaccine: 214 modified vaccines were given to Roberwall

The more than 200 doses of Komirnati vaccine (Pfizer) administered at the vaccination center in Roberwall, Sagune-Lock-Saint-Gene last August, were deemed inadequate by Pfizer-BioMtech.

Sagune-Lock-Saint-Jean Integrated University Health and Services Center (CIUSSS) confirmed the error and as 214 people received these doses, it would like to state that there is no risk to the health of the affected patients.

Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine can be stored in the cold for up to 30 days and provides optimal protection. However, the doses administered over a two-day period last August exceeded this period.
Therefore they cannot guarantee the protection they should provide, but health officials have concluded that it is not harmful to health.

“We checked the inventory and unfortunately an error was found,” explained CIUSSS Sagune-Lock-Saint-Jean, Pierre-Alexander Maltese spokesman.

After checking directly with the company and with the Ministry of Health, CIUSSS ensures that all individuals who receive a dose that is not properly protected are re-vaccinated to be properly protected. For some, it will be the third dose they receive.

Additional teams were deployed on Thursday and Friday to contact these patients as soon as possible.
