Although this may audio like one thing from an motion film, Australian authorities say the drama unfolded in real life around the weekend.

On Saturday morning, a cargo ship headed for the harbor metropolis of Newcastle, New South Wales, came throughout a yacht that experienced encountered troubles in the h2o off the coastline of Yamba, according to Australian Border Force. The crew attached a tow line to bring the yacht with them to Newcastle, and took the yacht’s skipper — a 31-year-previous man — on board.

But as the ship approached its spot later on that night, it was learned that the tow line carrying the yacht experienced been snapped, and the yacht — and the gentleman — were missing.

A dog unit found the man hiding in an air-conditioning unit on the cargo ship.

Authorities searched the region for the missing male, but could not locate him, the border power said.

On Monday — two times immediately after the man’s disappearance — officers from the NSW Law enforcement and Australian Border Pressure (ABF) officers searched the cargo ship with puppies and located the gentleman concealed in an air-conditioning device.

Officers, who learned the guy was in breach of his bail above an alleged sexual assault, feel he deliberately minimize the yacht unfastened, and experienced prepared to stow away on the ship until eventually it left Australia for Malaysia.

Officers arrested the man and seized 4,435 Australian bucks (all-around $3,070) in income and a knife, which will go through forensic evaluation. Border power officers claimed he was charged with breach of bail and would look right before a court Wednesday.
