Sean Penn left his car in Ukraine after the Russian invasion and ‘traveled miles’ on foot to Poland.
Actor of Mystic River Vice Studios is making a documentary on the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and visited the Ukrainian capital Kyiv last week before launching a Russian attack on February 24.

Giving an update on his journey to the ground on Monday, the 61-year-old revealed that he and his colleagues had fled the country like many other Ukrainians.
“Two colleagues and I left our car on the side of the road and walked miles to the Polish border,” he wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of himself carrying a suitcase with him. Road full of cars.
“Almost all the cars in this photo are carrying only women and children, most have no luggage marks and the car is their only valuable asset,” he said.

He has not yet shared any updates about his position.
The star met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky and Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vareshchuk last week. He also attended a press conference.
The director had already traveled to Ukraine in November to meet with the soldiers.

Referring to the controversy on Twitter over the weekend, the Oscar-winning actor wrote: ‘There have already been casualties and broken hearts, and I think Mr. Putin would have made a terrible mistake if he had not given up. All mankind. President Zhelensky and the people of Ukraine have settled as historical symbols of courage and principle. (…) If we leave Ukraine to fight alone, our spirit as America will be lost.
