According to a survey by Angus Reed, Cubans are less likely to pay their mortgage than other parts of Canada.
The survey results released on Monday show that the majority of Cubans (55%) have no difficulty in paying this monthly payment and have money left over for their personal expenses. This figure is much higher than the Canadian average (42%).
As 36% of the residents of La Belle Province indicate that they have no difficulty in paying this monthly payment and 26% nationally have money left over for their personal expenses, the situation of those renting accommodation is similar. In contrast, more than one in five Alberts report that they are really having trouble paying their rent.
“There is also an age difference between Canadians owning a home or paying a mortgage. Younger Canadians are less likely to own their own home, but there is a noticeable gap at age 54. Of those over 54, the majority say they are not paying the mortgage, ”we can also read in the survey report.
The trial was held between February 11 and 13, 2022 with 1622 people.
