Air Transat announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement with Porter Airlines for code sharing, the implementation of which is planned for next summer season.

“Each carrier, under its own code and license, markets aircraft operated by another partner, which allows customers to combine airline units and check their luggage only once on a single ticket,” Air Transat explained in a press release. Tuesday is the day.
The partnership includes plans to link Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Porter Airlines’ bases in Halifax-Stanfield to Montreal-Trudeau (YUL).
The goal is to provide customers of both airlines with a choice of connecting flights to North America and internationally, with ways to gain customary approvals.
