Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky on Wednesday morning to discuss Canada’s military assistance to Ukraine.
Reiterating Canada’s “unwavering” support for the Ukrainian people, Mr. Trudeau suggested that Ottawa send “highly specialized” military equipment to Ukraine.

“We continue to work with our allies and international partners to hold Russia accountable for the unjust and illegal attack on Ukraine,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Twitter.
In his tweet, Prime Minister Trudeau said that he had invited President Zhelensky to address the Canadian Parliament soon and that the Ukrainian president had agreed.
“Canadians are inspired by the courage and resilience of Ukrainians and the leadership of the President and I know they are eager to hear it directly,” Justin Trudeau added.
