Two years after launching this extraordinary measure, the Legalt government will submit its bill on Wednesday to lift the health emergency.
On Tuesday, the first day of the resumption of parliamentary work after a two-week break, the National Assembly Order Paper recorded the “End to Health Emergency Act”.
This means that the House of Commons, which will be presented by Health Minister Christian Dubey, is approaching.
The health emergency, which was launched in Quebec two days after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global pandemic, is being renewed once every 10 days by the Legal government, which has been repeatedly condemned by opposition parties and constitutionalists.
It allows, among other things, to sign contracts by mutual agreement and to decree the working conditions of his employees.
Quebec has indicated its intention to retain some of the powers already granted by the health emergency, especially by continuing to wear masks on public transport and paying bonuses to health network employees.
