Already, on Saturday morning, the closure of the Henry-IV Highway (A73) caused heavy traffic jams in the capital-National.
In fact, Highway 73 was filled with the necessary closures until Monday morning.
First, there is a complete closure on the north side between the AutoRoot Duplessis (A540) / Boulevard Lourier (R175) and Boulevard du Versant-Nord.
Then, there was the second southbound closure between Autoroute Charrest (A440) / Felix-Leclerc (A40) and Boulevard Hochela.
Motorists are invited to take the eastbound lane of Duplessis Highway (A540), Northbound and Felix-Leclerc Highway (A40) as their journeys are disrupted by several closures.
“Avoid this area and, above all, plan your travels by contacting Quebec 511,” Transport Quebec recalled in a tweet on Friday.
Traffic is expected to be heavy until Monday morning when Highway 73 reopens to traffic.
