Instead of the usual evaluations, the academics were invited to a working session with three teachers to prepare their solo moment during the next different presentation.

Camellia Jackie started with the idea of relaunching “I’m Sick” by Serge Lama, who has already performed so wonderfully as Laura Fabian. His performance did not impress anyone and Gregory advised Charles to go quickly and enter another concert.

With Laura, they discussed the idea of having Jacques Braille sing “Quand On My Q L’Amar”. The young woman tried without preference to choose another song in English. Greg was skeptical and finally nothing has been decided yet.

Krystel Mongeau also succumbed to teaching staff proposals. Her performance of Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” was not perfect. Above all, Gailine Tremblay made it clear to her that it was time for her to sing in French. He has been given several titles such as “I Can’t Stop Loving You” by Laura Fabian or “The Him to Love” by Piaf. Wanting to show a different angle to her talent, Crystal finally settled on the theme “I do not love you” by Mario Pelchat.

Eloy Cummings realized he had to demonstrate another expansion of his vocal talent for the coming diversity. He chose “The Beggars Opera” by Nicola Sikon, which allowed him to push the note. The teachers found that the song fit him like a glove. “You’re been confusing me since the first chorus,” Greg said with a laugh. We should start the first chorus smoothly and go gradually.

Finally, Oliver Bergeron wanted to present his own composition. But after singing “in the old room”, the teachers were confused by the seriousness of the literature indicating his state of mind before entering the academy.

“I rarely see a person who wants to be healed,” Laura Fabian said before advising her to put a little more hope into her text.

“It’s really inspiring, said Gregory Charles while talking to Oliver. But your song does not match the person he is today.” He offered to take over “This Voice” by Gerry Boulette. After hearing it and trying to understand it, Oliver finally decided to pursue the proposal.

For the record, during the semi-finals, public votes determine the first finalist, while teachers choose the second.
