Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is still performing

Once again led by Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Blue Jays escaped the sweep by a 2-1 defeat to the New York Yankees in Toronto on Wednesday. It was the first defeat in 12 games for the Bronx Bombers.

The son of the former glory of the Montreal Expos ran late in the winning run with a single in the third inning. He pushed Bo Bichet to the home plate.

Charlie Montoya’s squad completed 10-games with a 6-4 record at home and flew to Cleveland on Thursday to begin a four-game series with the Guardians. The Yankees, for their part, are waiting for the Texas Rangers in New York.
