The Chaudière-Appalaches Care Professionals Union blames their working conditions, condemning a severed relationship with the employer.

“Your ability to address the concerns of our members and the confidence of the organization is no longer there. “Many members report to us abuses of power on a daily basis, beyond questionable management choices, favoritism and intimidation,” we said in a July 27 letter to CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches.
Union officials have also talked about reducing services on the network, reluctant to make their voices heard.
“We are dealing with service cuts. We have to put a foot down. And we do this to relieve people who have a health network (…). There is nothing to do. At some point, someone will put on their panties and who will take action? ” said Patricia Pouliot, spokeswoman for the Chaudière-Appalaches Care Professionals Union, in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.
In this region, as this table shows, emergencies are high.
Ms. According to Pouliot, Premier François Legault and Minister of Health and Social Services Christian Dubey are only busy with elections scheduled for this fall.
“We have not heard, we have not heard. Nothing has been proven. Currently, Mr. Finding candidates for the election is a priority for Dubé and Premier Legault. That’s just his preference. On Saturday afternoon, the CISSS of Chaudière-Appalaches responded to a letter sent by the union.
“The CISSS of Chaudière-Appalaches is facing major labor issues. The shortage situation that we add to the summer vacation period along with the seventh wave of Covid will further complicate the situation. (…)”, he wrote.
