27 Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan’s air defense zone on Wednesday, officials said in Taiwan, where US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was visiting.

“27 Chinese military aircraft entered the surrounding area (air defense identification zone, wider than airspace) on August 3, 2022,” Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense said on Twitter.

In addition, the G7’s diplomatic chiefs felt there was “no justification” for China to use US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as a “pretext” for “aggressive” military maneuvers.
“It is common for MPs of our countries to travel internationally. A “response in the form of escalation” from China “risks tensions and destabilization of the region”, confirm the seven wealthy countries (United States, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, United Kingdom) in a press release.
