QUEBEC CITY – Originally from the Boston area, Jordan Harris was 12 years old when he appeared in a friendly neighborhood in Quebec City on Tuesday evening.e Pro-am Gagne-Bergeron’s edition.
Over the years, fiercely loyal to the Boston Bruins, Patrice Bergeron has created a large group of adoring enemies of the Canadiens in the Quebec capital.
Many Quebec hockey fans who never resented the Habs now show their loyalty to the Bruins, and it was on display in the stands during the charity game.
Donning a Canadiens jersey before the start of the game, Harris was undoubtedly surprised by the number of Bruins faithful.
But this evening especially in the atmosphere of NHL players brought him back. He began to discover a world at the end of the season when he played his first 10 games on the Bettman circuit. Hence he is preparing to experience the CH Recruit Camp soon.
“I’m very excited, I’ve worked hard and I’m at my peak. Being there at the end of the season gives me a little extra boost,” the 22-year-old left-hander said.
His short haul of 10 games should lead him to significant use with Montreal. It’s well known that the Canadian has less experienced resources behind Joel Edmondson, Michael Matheson and David Savard.
He and Justin Barron should have a lot of latitude to emerge in the organization. But already, Harris averaged 16:17 per game last April. The prospect of multiplying minutes on the ice doesn’t scare him.
