Nick Kyrgios praises Felix Agar-Aliassime

Félix Auger-Aliassime is a player admired and respected by other players on the ATP circuit. Nick Kyrgios is part of this group. He did not hesitate to throw flowers in the direction of the number nine player in the world.

After a question from a fellow Montrealer, the Australian’s response was long and heartfelt.

“He’s a fantastic player,” Kyrgios said of Quebecer. This is very important for our sport.

“If you look at him, he’s very marketable. He has a great personality. The way he plays tennis is very exciting.

A great faith

Kyrgios also noted the 22-year-old’s strength of character.

“He is a very confident young man, added the Australian. There are no limits for someone like him.

“He works very hard. We both participated in Laver Cup together. I saw his professionalism and analysis of matches every day. He loves tennis. He is our sports student.

“He likes to analyze other players. At his age he could have achieved more than me if he hadn’t done stupid things like me. He could have won many Grand Slams. He’s an amazing player.”

Looking for success

Kyrgios has yet to beat Agar-Aliasmi since the start of his career (0-2).
