Detective Inspector Tofilou Famanuya Waielua said authorities had decided not to release any information that could reveal the identities of the children.
Police services are continuing to investigate the deaths that have rocked New Zealand since two bodies were found in suitcases two weeks ago.
For this gruesome discovery, a family buys a trailer loaded with bulk goods at a warehouse.
According to the police, the children died between the ages of five and ten years.
New Zealand police say the family is not connected to the deaths of the two children.
On Monday, police in Seoul, South Korea, said they had found a woman believed to be a relative of two children who died there.
She arrived in South Korea in 2018 and there has been no indication that she has left the territory since then, Seoul police said.
