The more I see Paul St-Pierre going to Plamondon, the less I understand why the PQ is lagging behind in the polls.
The boy was calm. Solid. Stable.
He does not take voters for fools. He does not talk to people who have reached the mental age of eight. And he always explains why his party is proposing this or that policy.
So what’s the deal? Why are so few Quebecers preparing to vote PQ?
What more do you want? Did PSPP film himself parachuting or pay a woman to say “handsome Paul is my man”?
Swing in the butter
Check out PSPP’s visit to Ottawa last Thursday.
It is simple, clear, straightforward.
Do you believe the CAQ will succeed in repatriating powers to Quebec?
In recent years, Quebec has made 21 requests to the federal government. All these requests were rejected. all
Applying Law 101 to Federally Chartered Businesses? “No.”
A $6 billion transfer on health? “Absolutely not.”
Priority of Quebec environmental laws? “Never.”
Give us full powers over immigration? “Over my dead body.”
Generating a single tax return? “No.”
A guarantee that the federal government won’t challenge Quebec laws? “Neat.”
Cooperate with provinces for better border control? “In your dreams.”
Right to withdraw from federal programs with full financial compensation? “When Pigs Fly.”
Abolition of the post of Lieutenant-Governor? “A week of four Thursdays.”
Is bilingualism a must to sit as a Supreme Court judge? “No.”
Senate Abolition or Reform? “Up yours.”
A framework of federal government in areas of regional jurisdiction? “f** you k.”
etc.
Twenty-one appearances at home plate. Twenty one strikeouts.
And do you think CAQ will be more successful in the next four years?
What gives you that impression?
Are we Maso?
A clear presentation is not dreamed of.
CAQ is window dressing to the home of privileges that it promises you.
of Bull shit.
They know that. You know that. Everyone knows that.
So why are we still knocking on Ottawa’s door? Why are we indebted to this humiliating exercise?
On October 3, the party that will form the official opposition will be chosen.
Who do you want?
A QS that wants to welcome 80,000 immigrants a year while we struggle to franchise 40,000? Duhaime wants to repeal Act 96 to avoid trouble for the English? An Englishman struggling to organize his own party?
Be serious.
erratum
On Sunday, I wrote that according to Revenue Quebec, only 0.26% of Quebecers earn $100,000 or more a year.
I took the wrong line.
The actual number is 8%.
0.26% on $500,000 or more per year.
Many colleagues and readers pointed out my mistake. Thank you!
Proof that citizens are vigilant and we cannot swallow them.
If I were a politician, I would notice that…
