Out of 678,702 members of CPC, 437,854 exercised their right to vote. Of these votes, only 417,987 were accepted and certified, a difference of 3% due mainly to the rejection of certain ballots due to an incomplete ballot package.

The validation of ballots ended on Wednesday, hence the possibility of digital entry of ballots.

The recounting, or tabulation, will take place on Saturday and the announcement event will begin at 6 p.m., broadcast live from the Shaw Center in Ottawa, ending around 8 p.m.

Party Counting makes announcements at each stage to announce the points scored by each candidate and the respective percentages. Note that points are allocated proportionally according to the vote in electoral districts; Each eligible electoral district can reach 100 points (subject to a minimum of 100 votes). The party publishes a constituency-wise report after each phase of enumeration.

Five candidates are still in the race for the CPC leadership, including former Quebec premier Jena Charest and the alleged leader of the race, Pierre Poilivre.
