Airmedic, a company specializing in medical assistance and air transportation, falls under the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA).
It was put up for sale a month ago in the wake of the financial collapse of the Huot Group and its owner Stéphan Huot.

This rescue measure should allow Airmedic to continue to develop and obtain approvals for transactions or arrangements with its creditors.
“Airmedic is a growing business and an important link in the healthcare system. Executing the transaction in the coming weeks will allow us to focus on our development and growth projects,” commented Chief Executive Officer Sophie LaRochelle.
When it was put up for sale, TVA confirmed in a statement to Nouvelles that Airmedic was “looking for investors or strategic buyers”. However, the company declined to comment on potential buyers.
According to information obtained by our Bureau of Investigation, a number of companies have shown interest in acquiring Airmedic, starting with ambulance company Desercom, which is headquartered in Lewes.
Without confirming or denying this information, Desercom indicated via email that it has a “growth plan” and is looking at “several alternatives” to expand its revenue streams in the health sector.
